Community Action Agency of South Central Michigan

Community Action?s mission is carried out through numerous programs, in Barry, Branch, Calhoun, and St. Joseph counties of Michigan, with four major program areas:
? Education and Children?s Services, which seeks to meet the educational and family development needs of children and their families through programs such as Head Start, Early Head Start, and the Foster Grandparent Program;
? Transportation, which provides door-to-door transportation services for seniors and people with disabilities in Calhoun County so that they can access services including medical care;
? Nutritional Services, which provides assistance for people age sixty and older such as home delivered meals and congregate dining centers; and
? Housing and Support Services, which provides programs for low- to moderate-income families, including housing rehabilitation, weatherization, and emergency fuel and utility assistance.
