What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Toddler House / Preschool / Kindergarten
The Toddler House classrooms (16-mo to 3-yrs) are sensitive to supporting the transition from home to school and are known for our nurturing, loving, experienced staff that provide hands-on activities to focus on emerging language skills, trust, self-help, and motor skills.
In our mixed-age Preschool classrooms (3- to 6-yrs), children move about the room freely, from one activity to another—sometimes alone, sometimes in small groups—doing, experiencing, and learning independently and from each other.
The Kindergarten year (5-yrs) refers to the final year of the Montessori three-year-cycle. Kinder students enjoy the morning Montessori work cycle in their mixed-age classroom, and after lunch, join together with all of the Kinders to dive deeper into our indoor and outdoor curriculums.
Diversity, environmental stewardship, and inclusion are embedded in all of Woodland’s Montessori programming.
The adults act as guides and observers, rather than being the center of classroom activity.
