Blue Stars Performing Arts for Youth is committed to developing life skills in young people through education and achievement in the performing arts. What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps

This program is comprised of 154 students ages 15 to 21 that perform a 12 minute marching musical performance on a football field. The membership is comprised of three sections: brass, percussion, and the color guard/visual ensemble. Students will travel 12,000 miles during the summer, competing in over 30 competitions against other units. The season culminates with Drum Corps international World Championships.

This program consists of approximately 100 alumni and supporters of the Blue Stars. Members participate in the annual Maple Leaf Parade at Oktoberfest in La Crosse. This is an annual fundraiser for the Alumni of the Blue Stars. Profits from this fundraiser go towards supporting events for the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, memorials for members that have passed on, and member sponsorships.
