What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Surplus Outlet Store
SOS (Surplus Outlet Store) Our SOS provides computers at low cost to the general public, ie. new business startups, low income families.
PCs for Families
The PCs For Families program is directed at reducing the 'digital divide' in Racine County. The 'digital divide' describes the gap between people who have access to technology and those who don't. PCs For Families strikes at the heart of this divide by placing personal computer systems into the homes of qualifying families. Placing refurbished computers into the homes of families who don't have the financial means to purchase a computer not only enhances the childrens education but it will also allow the parents to become part of the electronic world. In addition to providing the families with technology, they receive basic computer skills training and technical support for the computer systems.
PCs for Employees.
The PCs For Employees program is directed at reducing the 'digital divide' in Racine County. PCs For Employees strikes at the heart of this 'divide' by placing personal computer systems into the homes of qualifying employees. This can be leveraged by companies to improve communication with employees and give employees access to online Human Resources information. In addition to providing the employees with technology, they receive basic computer skills training, technical support and Internet access for the computer systems.
PC's for Africa
TCW has previously provided computer systems to South Africa via an arrangement with Rotary International, to Peace Corps volunteers in Central America, to Belize with the Wagner Foundation as well as elsewhere in the United States.
