Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Kinship Youth Mentoring
Kinship is a youth mentoring program which serves at-risk youth living in Morrison County or the greater Long Prairie area. Kinship youth do not live with both parents, i.e. single parent home, step-parent, guardian or foster home. We recruit compassionate adult volunteers to serve these youth as role models, friends & mentors. Kinship uses both 1:1 and family based matches.
In addition, Kinship hosts group mentoring activities on a regular basis. These activities range in topic greatly (i.e. canoeing, baking, fishing, biking, etc.) and are intended to bring matches and unmatched youth & adults together. Positive interaction & friendship between the youth and adults in attendance in the key.
