BIO

Joan Wells has been Executive Director of Springboard for the Arts for seven years. Her goal has been to make Springboard a community and constituent-responsive organization, in which staff and board members function as a strong team. Currently, Joan is focusing on the goal of increasing Springboard's financial viability to make it less vulnerable to changes in the philanthropic community. Joan's background includes extensive experience in managing arts non-profits, providing training in non-profit management and fund-raising, service on many non-profit boards, as well as work in the economic sector of the for-profit world.
