Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We strive to assist people on their road to recovery by offering a safe, comfortable environment where they can overcome loneliness and isolation by reconnecting with others. We offer services to help them succeed while living in the community, such as healthy food, laundry services, Internet access, and referrals to other services providers. Goals for 2015 included increasing the number of trained volunteers, increasing the number of returning members, and increasing the number of days the club is open for members to attend. We accomplished all 2015 goals except increasing the number of days open in Detroit Lakes.
New goals as a result of our strategic planning are to reach people living in the outer areas of Becker and Otter Tail counties. To increase public awareness of mental health and overcome stigma and to encourage people to seek help when symptoms become evident, before a crisis occurs. Our long range goal is to look toward the development of a satellite club in the more remote regions of Otter Tail County, due to its size and to look for a handicapped accessible club location in Fergus Falls.
