MARAMA Training Program

MARAMA workshops and support for training improve the technical knowledge and skills of the staff of Mid-Atlantic air polution control agencies.

Population(s) Served

The purpose of the Regional Technical Center is collaboration among state and local agencies in the Mid-Atlantic Region on technical analyses and issues related to the national standards for ozone, fine particulate matter, and regional haze. In addition, the Technical Center facilitates coordination with neighboring states, regions, and other technical centers. The Technical Center focuses on the development of State Implementation Plan elements such as emissions inventories, modeling protocols, modeling demonstrations, and weight of evidence demonstrations.

Population(s) Served

The Mid-Atlantic Diesel Collaborative is a partnership between leaders from federal, state, and local government, the private sector, and environmental groups in Delaware , Maryland , Virginia, Pennsylvania , West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. The Collaborative is part of an overall national campaign to reduce diesel emissions.
