What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
The Council's primary programs are: Tiger Cubs for boys in grade 1, Cub Scouts for boys in grades 2-5, Boy Scouts for boys in grades 5-12, Venturing for boys and girls in grades 9-12, Career Exploring for boys and girls in grades 9-12, and Learning for Life for boys and girls in grades 1-12. The Hawkeye Area Council provides these Scouting programs to the highest percentage of available youth of any BSA Council in the central U.S. We are very proud of this accomplishment. The Council consistently earns the National Quality Council Award from the Boy Scouts of America.
