SOURCE: Self-reported by organization
Orchestra Iowa's programs include: (1) Concert Performances: Orchestra Iowa performs 33 concerts a season reaching over 33,000 audience members. In addition to its Classical, Pops, and Chamber Series, Orchestra Iowa performs semi-staged operas and is on the forefront of the industry in creating new formats for the presentation of classical music; and (2) Music Education: the twelve educational programs reach over 32,000 children each year, or nearly 40% of the children in the community. Many hours are spent consulting with the School District, the Area Education Agency, and administration to guarantee the symphony programs meet the special curriculum enrichment needs but do not duplicate services.
