THE MISSION OF THE TWIN CITIES MEDIA ALLIANCE IS TO EQUIP COMMUNITY MEMBERS - PARTICULARLY INDIVIDUALS FROM OR WORKING IN MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES - WITH THE POWER OF MEDIA ARTS TO DEFINE AND AMPLIFY THEIR NARRATIVES, CONNECT ACROSS COMMUNITIES, AND ULTIMATELY DRIVE NEW THINKING AND ENGAGEMENT AROUND THEIR STORIES. THIS IS DONE IN TWO WAYS (1) PROVIDING MEDIA ARTS AND COMMUNICATIONS TRAININGS LIKE THE FROGTOWN WEB DESIGN INTERNSHIP AND CLASSES VIA MELSA, AND (2) EXECUTING MEDIA ARTS PROJECTS AND EVENTS LIKE THE TWIN CITIES DAILY PLANET AND FALL MEDIA FORUM.
