Mission

It is the mission of the St. Louis Empowerment Center to provide peer-support, recovery services, and a sense of community to individuals in the St. Louis area who are consumers of mental health services or have co-occurring disorders.

The St. Louis Empowerment Center is also governed by the mission of its parent organization the Depression Bipolar Support Alliance of Greater St. Louis, which is as follows: "The mission of the Depression Bipolar Support Alliance of Greater St. Louis is to provide education and support to people whose lives are affected by mental illness so as to enhance their employment opportunities, to improve recreational and relationship skills, and to reduce significantly the recurrence of symptoms through self-help."

in Center for individuals who have lived experience with mental health and or substance use disorders. The program offers Certified Peer Specialists, Recovery Support Groups, Laundry, Shower Facilities, Computer Lab, Employment Assistance, and Daily Lunch
