What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Renovations
Renovations supports individuals with a dual diagnosis. They have a disability and a behavorial issue and have not responded to traditional treatment methods.
Counterpoint Autism Services
Counterpoint, just as in the musical world, helps individuals with autism to join various components of life into a more hormonious style.
Employment Solutions
Employment Solutions supports clients as they seek, secure and hold onto meaningful employment. This can include shadowing them on the job until both the client/employee and employer are comfortable with performance.
Rivendale Instittute of Learning and Center for Autism
Rivendale is an alternative setting to public education for children ages 2-21 with learning difficulties or autism.
Community Connections
The Arc of the Ozarks believes that everyone should have the opportunity to live, work, learn and play in their community. Community Connections utilizes classroom-style settings and outings to ensure a purposeful environment that allows individuals to benefit from activities in their community.
Residential
Everyone deserves a place they can call their own and The Arc provides that opportunity to individuals with disabilities. Residential Services vary from independent living to group homes, all staffed with The Arc team members who are fully trained in a variety of skills. Our staff's goal is to support individual's to be as independent as possible within their community.
Applied Behavioral Analysis
ABA Services can effectively change behavior in various ways and interventions are always tailored to the needs of the individual served, to caregiver needs and to setting logistics. Programming is based on the functions of, or reasons for, each individual's behavior, and relies on factors that motivate each individual. The Arc's ABA Services team has experience addressing skill development in a variety of areas, commonly including communication, safety, self-care, social skills, and community integration. In addition, ABA Services often works with teams to reduce maladaptive behavior such as self-injury, physical aggression, or disruption.
Cornerstone Psychology Clinic
A team of specialized clinicians assist individuals, families, couples or groups with varying types of therapy including psychotherapy, speech and occupational therapy. In line with the overall mission of the organization, Cornerstone believes in developing personalized care to assess and support each person's unique needs. When a client is referred to Cornerstone, the first step is an evaluation with a clinician to understand any areas of concern and to lay the foundation of a relationship built on trust.
Cornerstone's team is specially trained Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition, which is the gold standard for diagnosing individuals with autism. This training has added to the expertise of our staff and expanded our resources to become an even bigger support system to those in our community with disabilities.
Education & Recreation
The Arc offers several Education and Recreation Programs that plan a wide range of activities to satisfy every interest that are not only fun, but broaden social skills and encourage independence. All the Education and Recreation programs are located at the Timothy Grant Newport Activity Center. It has a fully equipped gymnasium and a heated indoor swimming pool monitored by a certified lifeguard. The center contains the necessary equipment for assisting individuals with disabilities and provides a safe environment for recreation.
