Mission Statement

TWIN CITIES BALLET of MINNESOTA (the registered business name of Lakeville City Balllet) Introduces, promotes and supports the artistry, discipline and athleticism of ballet and other dance forms to Minnesota communities, particularly in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan area, through high quality professional performances, educational and interactive programs, Scholarship Awards, and collaborative artistic events.

The Nutcracker

Full-length annual professional production of Denise Vogt's The Nutcracker, one of the Twin Cities' most attended holiday shows. Featuring a cast of 120 consisting of local and national professional dancers and area dance students from up to nine regional dance schools. The first and only such production produced south of the Minnesota River, TCB's Nutcracker is a delightful, family-friendly show that has become a cherished holiday tradition for thousands, from ballet novices to long-term patrons alike.

Cinderella 1944: A Love Story

World Premiere in May 2013. Set in England during WWII, Cinderella 1944 is an original story inspired by the classic tale, with original musical compilation, stage and set designs, lighting, costumes and choreography. This unique re-imagining of Cinderella's struggles, survival and journey of discovery will provide a touching and memorable experience for all.

Student Dancer Recognition Grants

Twin Cities Ballet awards four grants annually to area dance students who have distinguished themselves with their recent dance activities and training and have been accepted into a recognized summer intensive dance program with a primary emphasis of ballet. These awards are to recognize excellence in dance, provide financial support and tangible encouragement to young dancers to continue training, and identify area dancers who are dedicated to making dance training, education and performances a central part of their lives.
