The Summer Concert Series includes six Yankton Area Summer Band (YASB) concerts and five pops concerts during June, July, and August, with an additional holiday concert in December. The YASB is made of approximately 70 volunteer musicians from the region including middle school students through adults. Each week guest conductors, choose the program, rehearse the band and perform an hour long concert for the community. The pops concerts feature contracted professional musical groups. The Summer Concert Series has become a beloved tradition allowing a supportive and encouraging platform for area artists and allowing, on average, over 200 attendees access to the arts at no financial burden. Programs like this are vital to the cultural and economic development in our community.

Our art gallery is housed in an historic G.A.R. Hall (Grand Army of the Republic) building. YAA hosts up to 10 unique art exhibits each year featuring regional artists specializing in a variety of media. In addition to the 5-6 week long exhibits, the organization hosts artist receptions where patrons get to know the artist and their work process more intimately.

Each August, the Summer Arts Festival hosts over 125 artists during Yankton's Riverboat Days helping to draw over 100,000 visitors to the area from all over the country.
