Youth Development

Community Campership Council, Inc.

aka Kids To Camp

San Diego, CA

Mission

Our mission is to fund nature based camp experiences that enrich the lives of culturally and economically diverse San Diego youth. Community Campership Council funds are directed to the highest need youths - camping experiences for at-risk youths, foster kids, children from single family homes, and children with parents deployed in the military. Camp not only offers a safe, positive environment, it provides the adult mentors often missing in the lives of these children. Approximately 50.9% (255,914+)of the children attending San Diego County Schools meet the financial guidelines for the free/reduced price lunch program. This criteria makes them eligible to apply for a campership.
