Mission Statement

The Delaware Charter Schools Network (DCSN), a nonprofit organization established in 2001, supports the charter school movement and charter schools in Delaware. Through philanthropy, school membership, and business sponsorship, DCSN provides advocacy and essential services to public charter schools, their boards, leaders, staff, and parents. DCSN educates the public about charter schools, provides assistance to both existing Delaware charter schools and those yet to open, and serves as a unified voice for the state's charter schools at the state and national level.

DCSN is a membership network that represents charter schools throughout the First State. We currently support 25 schools educating 15,030 students and employing more than 1,500 staff members. Charter enrollment has grown 44% since the 2012-13 school year, and the number of Delaware children on waiting lists to attend charter schools now numbers more than 8,000 – the highest it has ever been.
