Mission

ARINA's exempt purposes are education, social scientific research, and charitable. Our expertise is in individual and social development and meta-level thinking, analyses, and applications. We help others work on systemic roots of issues. Our core process, TIP, is replicable for virtually all complex issues in settings at various scales. We use integral approaches that recognize social, cultural, historical, and developmental elements. We specialize at building action research, inquiry, learning, and evaluation into all endeavors. Our work complements existing social change efforts without competing with them. The ARINA acronym reflects our process philosophy: Acting/Researching/Integrating Network Associates.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

We seek operating and program funding.
1. Yet-to-be-funded action research, social change, education projects. Currently designed for funding: international, 3-community comparative action research/social change project using our core process for addressing complex issues; a graduate community leadership program with our systemic issues curriculum; project to radically transform talk radio's polarized treatment of public issues. 2. Distance learning (convertible to on-site in-person training). To-date: Introduction to the Integral Evaluation Process; Introduction to Integral Decision-Making; Integral Foundations for Individual and Social Change Agents; Introduction to the Dynamics of Developmental Processes. These are suitable for philanthropic institutions, development agencies, non-profit organizations, any citizen or organization that wants cutting edge learning and praxis. 3. Publication of open-access, peer-reviewed e-journal: Integral Review: A Transdisciplinary and Transcultural Journal for New Thought, Research, and Praxis. http://integral-review.org 4. ARINA Associates intranet. For a very nominal fee to cover costs, any individual or organization can participate in our ARINA Room. The multi-feature cyber space is for shared learning, development of research questions and diverse projects, socially meaningful knowledge construction, and building a collegial network of social change agents, who may rent it to conduct distance learning that meets our quality criteria.
