The American Lung Assoc of Maryland (ALAM)provides asthma education to Maryland children through school programs and an overnight camp designed help reduce the burden of asthma. The ALAM invests in meritorious peer-reviewed research in Maryland. The ALAM is working to educate the public on the dangers of tobacco and secondhand smoke, and to promote cessation of tobacco use. Advocacy and education of clean air issues are a top priority for the ALAM.
