Mission Statement

The HCC Educational Foundation (HCCEF) is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) corporation that provides funds for scholarships, grants and programs that benefit students at Howard Community College. Established in 1978, the HCCEF's mission is to improve lives and create opportunities by funding pathways to student success.

Howard Community College is a publicly funded two-year community college serving the educational needs for the citizens and employers of Howard County, Maryland.

As an affordable, community-based institution, Howard Community College's mission of "Providing Pathways to Success" helps citizens fulfill the "American Dream" of education for advancement and enrichment without considering previous achievement. The college provides an academic and nurturing environment that enables students of all ages and backgrounds to reach their educational, professional, and personal goals.
