What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Godparent Ministry
The Liberty Godparent Home (LGH) was established in 1982 as a residential maternity home in Lynchburg, Virginia. We are a faith-based program serving young women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. We provide services to support each individual in making either a parenting or an adoption plan.

Family Life Services
Our infant adoption program is designed to allow expectant parents, who are making a voluntary adoption placement, to select an adoptive couple for their child. We place three to six infants annually through this program and we do not prohibit families from also working with other agencies while they are a part of our program awaiting placement. FLS works with expectant mothers, from all over Virginia, and provides adoption counseling to expectant fathers, if desired.
FLS provides home study services and post-adoption supervision for singles or heterosexual, married couples in Virginia who are pursuing embryo adoption, domestic adoption through another placement agency, or a private adoption through an attorney. We estimate that a home study can be completed within 6-10 weeks from the first home study visit and our fees are affordable.
