Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Civil Rights Program
The Workplace Project has been at the forefront of corporate equality since 1995. By providing resources, consulting and constructive pressure to tens of thousands of US employers, the Workplace Project has made GLBT equality a standard tenet of corporate best practices. The resulting benefit to employees, and the climate of acceptance it has promoted in the workplace and beyond, point the way for making equality a steadily growing reality in American life. The Family Project provides the most comprehensive and up-to-date information available on the full range of issues that affect GLBT families, including marriage, civil unions, domestic partner benefits, legal issues, youth/schools, parenting, aging, personal finance and more. The Historically Black Colleges and Universities Project. This project empowers lesbian, bisexual and transgender African American students, as well as their straight allies, to develop and implement strategies to positively impact their colleges' policies toward GLBT students, faculty and staff members. The Religion and Faith Program gives voice to the fair-minded faithful and seeks to reclaim the faith-based debate from the religious right. At a time when religion is being used more than ever to justify discrimination and hate-based public policy, the Religion and Faith Program holds up an inclusive and loving vision of religion and counters prejudice through education and advocacy. The Research Center is a comprehensive, authoritative and accurate clearinghouse of research on the GLBT community to inform public opinion on such issues as marriage, parenting, families, civil rights, military service, immigration and health. The National Coming Out Project is an ongoing campaign to encourage, empower and support every GLBT person to educate America by living openly and honestly.
