Mission

Strive for betterment of advertising in all areas affecting the advancement and general welfare of the business and its service to the public. Protect advertising from legislation and regulation that would over regulate and unduly restrain advertising and therefore, be harmful to the advertising industry. Establish and promote industry self-regulation by practioners of advertising. Develop a better understanding of the roles and benefits of advertising among governmental authorities, the consuming public, and in schools and universities, and to encourage and assist the best students to enter advertising as a career, and in the local market in particular. To recognize excellence in advertising. Assist and promote public service causes. Offer programs to promote fellowship, communication, career enhancement, and education among members of the advertising industry.

Rising Star Scholarship

One of the cornerstones of AAF Hampton Roads' mission is education.  Members of the education committee focus on educating college students and other advertising professionals on the benefits of Ad Club Membership.

We are proud to announce that we will again be offering two $500 scholarship at the high school level.  Scholarship deadlines are in May.  They are awarded each June.

Population(s) Served

One of the cornerstones of AAF Hampton Roads' mission is education.  Members of the education committee focus on educating college students and other advertising professionals on the benefits of Ad Club Membershiwhich  includes Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

AES is the acronym for Advertising Education Sponsor. Member sponsors are committed to financially assisting the district in maintaining a high level of support to AAF College Chapters, AAF National Student Competition Teams, and advertising students in general.
