Advocate Training and Supervision
We recruit and train volunteers to serve as advocates for children in foster care. They are called Court Appointed Special Advocates or CASAs. CASA volunteers are assigned, by the court to serve as advocates for children who are in the foster care system. They are tasked with being an extra set of eyes and ears for the court. They investigate all aspects of the child’s case, including speaking with all involved parties. They make recommendations to the court as to what they feel is in the child’s best interest as far as their placement, the services they are receiving, etc.
