Mission

Institute for Black Charities (IBC)founded as a multi-service organization, committed to excellence in service to the community with a mission to promote, stimulate and enhance the work of Black charities and programs that uplift people and communities to create a better quality of life.  locally, nationally and internationally.  IBC supports charitable causes and programs that uplift people of color and improve the quality of life for children, families and communities in impoverished areas nationwide and throughout the African Diaspora. IBC’s initiatives helps through training programs, technical and financial assistance, organizational and program development, community funding initiatives, collaboration projects, crisis relief and referral programs.

This initiative seeks to help individuals, families and communities that have suffered catastrophic injuries or losses as a result of natural or mankind disasters.

Supports the development of grassroots organizations through training and hands-on service on starting a nonprofit organization, developing program areas, building a board of directors, and providing access to fundraising opportunities.

Brings together grassroots organizations to share their experiences, learn from each other, and work collaboratively to meet the needs of communities locally, regionally and at the state level. Brings together people and organizations and supports them as they plan and carry out projects that improve the lives of children, families and communities.
