Supporting the Nation's Public Health System

As a nonprofit, nonpartisan public health policy, research, and advocacy organization, TFAH works to promote optimal health for every person and community and to ensure that prevention and health equity are foundational to policymaking at all levels of society. TFAH develops reports, leads initiatives, and makes policy recommendations to address a range of public health issues, including public health emergency preparedness, public health funding, obesity and chronic and, infectious disease, substance misuse and suicide, healthy aging, , and the health impacts of climate change. TFAHs work is focused on the antecedents of poor health and on ensuring that the nations public health system is ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century. We additionally prioritize addressing the social determinants of health and correcting health inequities.
