We are planning programs for the fall to invite children and their parent(s) to a workshoas well as helping them understand their role as an advocate for their parent/loved one by leading them through child-friendly fundraising activities. These workshops also allow time for the adult to be pulled aside and be given ideas on how to talk to their kids about MS. In addition to the workshops, we provide all children in the St. Louis area who have a loved one diagnosed with MS with an inspirational book including quotes and uplifting stories about overcoming life's challenges. We also provide a mentoring program where children are matched up with an individual > 18 who also were raised with a loved one with MS. They are encouraged to talk, email, write to each other, get together at planned functions, etc.
