What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

We are working to acquire a construction vehicle to save money on transportation costs of construction material as we construct the training college. The organization spent at least over 24% of its income on transportation costs. acquiring this asset would be a great benefit in the long. Secondly, we aim to improve on the organization's board in terms of involvement in fundraising activities.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Discipleship Training Program

ACTIVE Ministry has established Theotechnic College to train bi-vocational preachers to start and minister to churches in Zimbabwe. Theotechnic College also provides technical/vocational education necessary to give these preachers the ability to support themselves.

Population(s) Served

ACTIVE provides point of use water purification system for the Mudzi district of Zimbabwe.  The system converts common table salt into chlorine gas which is then injected into contaminated water and kills 99.9% of germs found in drinking water.  Providing clean drinking water curbs waterborne diseases prevalent in the area.

Population(s) Served

Through this program, kids in the United States have an opportunity to rich out to other kids of their age in rural Zimbabwe and help to better their school experience. Opportunities include donating learning material from kids to kids such as pencils, erasers, notebooks, soccer balls,
etc. Kids become pen pals with other kids of the same age and in the same grade level to share their experiences through letters.
