Empowering women and men with REAL choices.
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
The issues in our community that Daybreak is seeking to address is the prevalence of of premarital sex in both the teenage and adult population, which then leads to STD/STIs, unprepared parenting, or abortion.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Daybreak LifeCare Center
The mission of Daybreak LifeCare Center is to empower women, men, and families in the Midlands to choose the most positive, healthy, abundant life for themselves and the unborn by providing exceptional care, education, and medical information about sexual health and pregnancy.
R.E.A.L. Daybreak's Youth Program
R.E.A.L. teaches today’s youth about Relationships, Empowerment, Abstinence and Life-Skills. Our goal is to empower youth with the education they need in order to make REAL choices, not just what society tells them to do. We accomplish this in our after school programs for both middle and high school boys and girls all over the Midlands.
Abortion Recovery Assistance
Daybreak offers Abortion Recovery Assistance, a Bible study support group for women who have experienced abortion in their past who are in need of healing. This study guides each woman through the stages of grief in light of God’s Word and ultimately points her to Jesus for her healing.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Daybreak Ministries envisions a community where every person is transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and empowered to make Christ centered choices that lead to an abundant life for the individual, their families, and the life of the unborn. We exist to extend grace, speak truth, build connections, and offer hope in a compassionate manner to ensure that everyone in our community is empowered to choose the abundant life that God intends for us all, and in so doing, save lives from abortion while also providing ongoing care for those in our community with pregnancy related needs.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We seek to best empower our community through three strategic focus areas: prevention, intervention, and attention. In our prevention area of focus, we offer youth programs for local middle and high schools, teaching a Biblical perspective on relationships, empowerment, abstinence, and life-skills. We hope to teach students sexual integrity to prevent them from ever needing to come to us for our intervention services due to an unplanned pregnancy. We also offer free of charge STD/STI testing, which allows us to interact with another sexually active population with the hopes of educating them on sexual integrity and the transforming power of the Gospel so that they, too, do not need to come to us for unplanned pregnancies. In our intervention area of focus, we provide free of charge pregnancy testing, options consultations, limited OB ultrasounds, prenatal vitamins, and the abortion pill reversal. We hope to empower women and men who come to us to choose life! Lastly, in our attention area of focus, we provide free of charge parenting classes, for both mothers and fathers, where our clients can earn "baby bucks" to exchange in our baby boutique. We also have a "Mommy Mentor" program, which pairs moms in our center with moms in the local church for discipleship. We do recognize that there are still women who choose abortion, both in our center as well as women in our churches who have chosen it in the past, so the last piece to our attention services is our Abortion Recovery Assistance program, which is a 10 week Bible study support group designed specifically for those who have experienced abortion in their past; this Bible study uses the Word of God to work through the different stages of grief, ultimately pointing to Christ Jesus for true and lasting healing.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
The strategic areas mentioned above allow us to address the issues of premarital sex, STD/STIs, unprepared parenting, and unplanned pregnancies in ways that are consistent with the teachings of Scripture and effectively transform lives with both education and the power of the Gospel. We have a six person staff to manage each area of focus as well as countless volunteers who serve in different capacities, all of whom form the team that is accomplishing our mission in the Midlands.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Over the last 36 years, Daybreak has continued to grow in its capacity to serve our target population in the Midlands. We started out being housed in local churches, providing only pregnancy tests and peer counseling. We eventually made our way into our own building, but have since moved into a bigger building that is right across from our city's abortion clinic. In the last few years, we have added additional services which include: ultrasounds, prenatal vitamins, the men's ministry, the youth program, the abortion recovery program, the mommy mentor program, the ability to prescribe the abortion pill reversal, STD/STI testing, and most recently, our mobile medical unit, which is a mobile unity designed specifically for offering pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, STD/STI testing, and options consultations on the go! We have secured several locations which allows us to cover an even larger population in the Midlands, as well as partner with other pregnancy resource centers nearby that do not have the ability to provide medical services to their clients.
The last three years have been spent casting the vision for where we wanted Daybreak to go by re-determining our mission and vision, as well as deciding on expanded services, then laying the foundation for these services, and now we are building on top of that foundation-- becoming excellent in every area of service-- truly building a legacy of life in our community!
