Wise, Individual Guidance
At Woodward Academy, our focus is on innovative practices in the classroom with a curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking. Students find opportunities to explore and excel at every level, whatever their interests. Their teachers, coaches, and counselors provide wise guidance at every step—from the first day of Pre-K to the final AP exam—preparing students for best-fit colleges, mentoring them in life-shaping qualities of good character, and helping them reach their fullest potential. In addition to our rigorous academic program for mainstream students, we also offer our acclaimed Transition Program for students with diagnosed learning disabilities in grades 2–6 (4–6 at Woodward North).

Deep Respect for Difference
At Woodward Academy, diversity is more than skin deep. Woodward students develop a deep respect for difference as they collaborate with peers who come from 23 metro Atlanta counties and a broad array of religious, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Our students not only learn about other cultures but experience them daily in their interactions with friends and in their celebrations of special holidays throughout the year including Ramadan, Diwali, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Chinese New Year, NowRuz, and others.

Prolific Opportunities to Try and Triumph
Woodward Academy helps students discover their own greatest strengths, by offering prolific opportunities to try and triumph, including hundreds of courses in traditional and innovative subjects as well as a wide range of clubs, arts opportunities, and athletic options.
