What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Creative Enterprises
CEI operates a training and employment service where people with disabilities are taught appropriate work behaviors based on individual work rehabilitation plans. When they are work ready, they are referred to our job placement services where our job coaches determine how much intervention they need in order to obtain employment. Job coaches are available to work the job with them until they can maintain the job on their own. We utilize our greenhouse to teach horticulture to people interested in this kind of work. We also have a day habilitation program geared toward people who are not going to be able to work in the foreseeable future and need significant intervention in learning daily living skills. Because people are lifelong learners, we teach a variety of classes based on interests and goals of the individuals we serve. we are currently teaching people on-site and via Zoom classes.
Job Readiness training
In our onsite production facility and also at enclaves in the community we evaluate and train individuals with disabilities in the skills they will need to get and keep a job in the community.
Supported and Customized Employment
Supported Employ-Help individuals disabilities to secure employment in the community. Provide hands on job coaching and monitoring after employed.
Customized Employment-extensive one on one contact with individuals with disabilities and their family/caregivers to learn the person's unique interests and talents. Create or carve out a job for the individual, provide job coaching and monitoring.
Community Access Group
Creative Enterprises offers individuals with disabilities many options to enrich their lives and keep them active and involved in the community and with their peers. Examples include: Working in on-site Greenhouse, Art Therapy, interacting with Cats in our onsite "No Kill" Cat Shelter, Retail training in our Thrift Store and myriad educational classes from Music to French to Weather. Also provide various community activities such as attending AAA ballgames, museum visits, eating out, visits to area parks, etc.
Day Habilitation Program
Provides opportunity for elderly individuals with disabilities or those who require more intensive staff to client ratios. We provide 1 staff member for every 6 program participants.
