Our programs

The Athens YMCA has been able to attain a modest endowment to date. Part of the function of the endowment is to provide a source of revenue to allow the Athens YMCA provide services and programs that the organization would otherwise not be able to provide. A good example is related to the YMCA's outlying service area that currently does not have the demographics to support program offerings based on a fee structure. This is where the endowment would help scholarship or underwrite the cost of a particular program to that community.
