Mission Statement

The mission of the Beaufort County Community College Foundation is to provide broad-based community support for the college in achieving its educational goals. The Foundation seeks to achieve this mission through the solicitation of private gifts of money, property, and services and by the management of such assets to enhance the educational programs and services offered by the College.

Beaufort County Community College serves an area of 2008 square miles in the four county service area of Beaufort, Hyde, Tyrrell and Washington Counties. Out of the 100 counties in North Carolina, BCCC has had students from 96.

BCCC ranks number 1 in the northeastern region of the state for impact on the salaries of students who attend a community college. Students in career and technical areas can expect an average gain of 40%. The College ranks second across the entire State of North Carolina with respect to salary increases for students who attend a community college, with an average annual salary increase of more than $9,000.
