Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Council on Aging has three major annual events. An Annual Conference held each May focuses on relevant topics and provides knowledgeable speakers on issues related to aging. The Candidates? Forum, held each October, is a pre-election program that invites candidates for elected office to present their agenda on aging issues, as well as provides the chance for older adults, caregivers and aging service providers to ask their questions and voice concerns. The Legislative Agenda on Aging, held each February, is an annual event focused on connecting the aging community with elected officials.

Council on Aging also provides various education and advocacy programs that can be developed and tailored for diverse audiences, often in collaboration with community partners and aging industry professionals. These programs provide the tools, resources, and skills necessary to empower older adults, policy makers, professionals and the community to affect positive change for a senior-friendly future.
