SisterLove's Health Education, Advocacy and Prevention Program reaches hundreds of women and girls each year through it's HIV/AIDS prevention workshops, forums, and participation at community fairs and events targetting women at greatest risk for contracting HIV/AIDS and other reproductive/sexual health challenges. SisterLove's Healthy Love Party workshop is an empowering gathering that opens the door to a world of choices and positive decision making for women. Participants learn the basics of HIV/AIDS transmission and prevention, including the choices of abstinence and safer sex, reproductive health and human sexuality while affirming their right to take control of their sexual lives and sexual health. SisterLove's commitment to those affected by HIV is not limited to those living only in the United States. Through it's collaboration with established community-based AIDS organizations, institutions and government organizations in South Africa, SisterLove provides training, technical assistance and resource development to women living with HIV/AIDS, impact the capacity of those fighting the epidemic and provides prevention education and support to reduce HIV/AIDS among youth and reduce mother-to-child transmission of the virus.
