Program 1

Affordable, Available healthcare for everyone

FCAN is part of various state and national coalitions working to make health care available to everyone. This has been a goal of the group since our founding. We were active in the first big battle in 1994, and played a major role in the ACA. We continue to battle for better policy including expanding medicaid, improving access, adding dental and vision care, and treatment for substance abuse. We advocate and lobby for affordable, quality health care for everyone in America.

The Tampa Bay region is known for gridlock, high pedestrian and bicyclist accidents, and lack of public transit options. FCAN continues to work on improving options for residents including usable mass transit options, safer streets, and protecting the environment.
