Program 1

The fundamental purpose of the organization is helping the needy of North Brevard. Providing food is the top priority of the organization. Cor Jesu collects, Purchases, sorts, packages and distributes food to the needy at its facility located on South Hopkins Avenue in Titusville. In 2020, 1,363 households consisting of 2,684 individuals received food assistance. Most of the food consists of nonperishable boxed or canned items. Meats, when needed, are purchased from the local food bank. Eggs and butter are obtained locally. Perishable food is stored in refrigerators and freezers until distributed. Hygiene products are also provided when available. Volunteers pickup and collect food, others sort and stock the shelves, while others register new clients and assemble the bags that are given away. Each client receives several bags of food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and bread are provided when available. All of our funds are used to purchase food and maintain the building and grounds.
