Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
ZoomU: Supported Employment
Employment Specialists spend time with team members who are looking for jobs in the community. They work to discover a team member’s unique skill set and personal interests in order to help find the best possible placement, paying at least minimum wage. They supply ongoing assistance to employees as they navigate the workplace, helping them succeed and grow in their jobs. Specialists also work with employers to help them with any accommodations they may need to make to assist the employee in success.
ZoomWorks: Commercial Operations
Zoom Group provides employment training in commercial settings where team members learn to navigate the workplace, develop suitable work habits, work to improve their skills and productivity to move into competitive employment ultimately. This program gives team members a sense of accomplishment, adds meaning to each day, builds natural support networks, and provides many of our team members their first paycheck.
LifeWorks Day Training
A choice of meaningful activities promotes social interaction and fun and exciting experiences for team members with various abilities. LifeWorks provides a safe and productive environment is ensured by continuous support in small group settings with a staff-to-team member ratio of 1:5.
Studio Arts Day Training
Team member artists create their unique works through a variety of art mediums. Studioworks is an open art gallery that welcomes the general public. Artists display and sell their work in the gallery, earning 70% commission. StudioWorks Gallery is open five days a week for the general public to browse, shop, and learn more about Zoom Group.
SupportWorks - Behavioral Supports
Positive Behavior Support is rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis. With a focus on positive outcomes, Zoom Group behaviorists offer functional analysis, positive behavior support plans, as well as training and monitoring.
DiscoverU
DiscoverU is an Empowerment and Education Self-Advocacy and Awareness Program for Individuals with Disabilities. DiiscoverU consists of two major components: the DiscoverU Community Group with monthly meetings and DiscoverU (In-School) Program (frequency and time-vary by the school.) DiscoverU is founded on the belief that you know yourself best; you can set yourself up for success by knowing who you are, your likes dislikes, wants, and needs. The DiscoverU Community Group empowers individuals with disabilities, 14 and up, to become independent, active members of their community through education, awareness, and advocacy. DiscoverU provides the platform in which all individuals with disabilities are given the freedom to create, explore, and realize their journey by exploring themselves, their community, and the opportunity for community engagement, volunteering, and leadership.
