The mission of the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana is to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.

Veterans Program

To increase epilepsy awareness and support services to returning veterans, their families, and the greater community by developing educational and awareness initiatives to increase early identification, proper diagnosis, and treatment of veterans with epilepsy.
Provide educational and outreach programs to healthcare providers in Kentucky in order to better serve veterans.  Work with community partners in identifying and filling gaps in community resources for veterans.  Increase public awareness and understanding of epilepsy, especially in the veteran-community.

Population(s) Served

Educate children and families who are affected by epilepsy through the dessemination of epilepsy educational packets, by providing a monthly children's support group, and by providing a comprehensive children's educational program.
