Juvenille Assessment Center - Assured Family Services - Parent Education Program. Program Objective - To identify and build on family strengths so that the parent is empowered to protect and nurture their children and to build resiliency in the family unit. Family Care Network provides a comprehensive in-home or group 14-week parent education program for the parent who live in Wayne County, Michigan. The program addresses effective parenting strategies, age-appropiate expectations and building a safe and nurturing home environment. With COVID-19 and the government required no in-home care, Family Care Network was able to use zoom and phone calls to continue to support the families.and still complete the 14-week parent education program. Families are referred by the Wayne County Department of Health and Human Services, private foster care agencies and the Wayne County Court System. During the fiscal year of October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020 approximately 48 families with children were served.
