The Fisk Jubilee Singers, an ensemble of students from various disciplines at Fisk University, perform regularly throughout the world, singing the Negro spiritual and representing Fisk University. The original Jubilee Singers introduced the "salve songs” to the world in 1871 and were instrumental is preserving these spirituals..

The Jubilee Singers continue to thrive as a vocal ensemble. Among their many awards are two Grammy Nominations, a Dove Award, and an induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame as well as the Music City Walk of Fame. By a special invitation from the U.S. Department of State, the Fisk Jubilee Singers traveled to Ghana for the first time in 2007, where they performed to celebrate the 50th Independence anniversary of Ghanaians. This journey was historic and became known as “A Sacred Journey.”  One of the venues where the performances took place was on the grounds of Elmina Castle. In 2008, the Fisk Jubilee Singers were awarded the National Medal of Arts by former President George W. Bush at the White House. Other awards of the ensemble include the Governor’s Award, the Recording Academy Honors, and the Heritage Award of the Nashville Music Awards.

The Jubilee Singers give on average 18-24 public performances per year, locally, nationally, and internationally. Most recently (April 2010), they appeared on the stage of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

The mission of the T.H.R.U.S.T. Math & Science program is to positively impact the readiness, performance, and retention of black males in academic magnet school programs through application and exposure. The program works with over 50 young men during the year. T.H.R.U.S.T. Math & Science is for children in grades 5 through those entering the 10th in the fall. THRUST seeks: To Harness (the energy wasted on confusion and frustration,) Retain (students who would be lost due to that frustration), Understand (student’s strengths / weaknesses utilizing both to improve their understanding,) Sustain (momentum by minimizing their insecurities and maximizing their confidence, and Teach (basic skills through application, and expectation). Both the summer and after-school programs offer students applied learning experiences in a structured environment with collegiate exposure.

Exceptionally well-qualified students may petition the Director of Business Administration during the first semester of their junior year to participate in the joint B.S./M.B.A. program with Vanderbilt University (Owen Graduate School of Management)/

Students must have completed at least one year of calculus and one semester of introductory linear algebra with grades of "B" or better in each course. Students may satisfy the linear algebra requirement by passing the Introduction to Econometrics course (ECON 370), with a grade of "B" or better. If at the end of the first semester of the junior year, they might graduate from Fisk Magna cum laude or higher, students will be recommended to the Owen School of Management for admission to the joint program.

The 3-2 program permits the student to pursue a second degree concurrent with the senior year of studies at Fisk, thus allowing for a substantial reduction in the time required for completion of both degrees.
