Music and Wellness

The KSO’s award-winning Music and Wellness program which brings classical music directly to 4,000+ patients, families and staff at local hospitals, nursing homes, and wellness facilities

More than 400 students from Knox and surroiunding counties participate in the six Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra ensembles who perform four concerts per season.

The Chamber Music Program (CMP) exists to foster expertise in, and love for, playing chamber music. Students in this program will develop leadership, verbal and non-verbal communication, problem-solving, time management, and negotiating skills as they explore great works of music in conductor-less ensembles. The CMP provides a fun, intensive, and rewarding learning environment that will help students grow musically and more broadly in their lives.

The Knoxville Symphony Youth Choir (KSYC) provides the region’s young singers a choral community to develop vocal technique, create music through practice and performance, foster a love for vocal music, and build relationships with peers. Students enrolled in this program will acquire musical knowledge through a wide variety of repertoire. The KSYC works to provide students in East Tennessee a safe atmosphere to explore their voices in an educational and fulfilling environment.
