Program 1

Members in Central Kentucky have partnered with the League of Kentucky Sportsmen, Inc. to provide an amateur casting competition for the youth in the state. One hunderd forty-two youth under the age of 21 participated across the state in the competition with state winners awarded prizes in the gender and age groups of 9 & under, 10 - 12, 13 - 16 and 17 -20

Members of the Golden Gate and Oakland Casting Clubs have begin a youth fly fishing-casting program. These two clubs currently host between 10 and 20 youngsters and 5 t o 8 adults at least monthly for basic fly casting instruction. The clubs provide loaner equipment for use by both adults and children.
