What we aim to solve
Care Net Manasota Pregnancy Center is passionate about helping women and families who may find themselves in an unexpected pregnancy situation. We provide free peer-to-peer counseling to educate about pregnancy options. Our goal is for our clients to chose life for their unborn child and take part in our parenting classes called Earn While You Learn. These on-going classes empower moms and dads to become great parents with skills that they can carry with them throughout their familiy's daily lives. This is all done within the safe walls of our Christian-centered non-profit facility in Manatee County.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Earn While You Learn
The Earn While You Learn Program is an educational incentive program to equip our clients with positive parenting skills. There are 75 available classes that educate on prenatal care, nutrition, labor and delivery, newborn care and even when the baby is older. By attending the classes on a consistent basis, clients earn points to "purchase" needed baby items. Items most requested are cribs, pack & plays, car seats, diapers, wipes, formula and clothing. This program helps the client be accountable and invest in their own success.
Knighthood: The Quest for Authentic Manhood
The basis for this program is to equip men with the tools they need to be a man of character in today's culture. This is a 25 lesson series written in the same format as our Earn While You Learn program with DVDs, worksheets and homework assignments. The message is profound for men at any stage of life, but vital for men just starting out. Now, when male clients arrive with their female counterparts, we have a curriculum that can change their lives, making them the best father they can be for their child/children.
Devoted: A Sexual Integrity Program
The Sexual Integrity Program is designed to teach women how to walk in sexual wholeness in all areas of their life-- physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual. This biblically-based curriculum is a valuable tool inside the pregnancy resource center.
Courageous: Post Abortive Program
No matter what drives a woman to end a pregnancy, there are physical, psychological, and spiritual side effects most don't anticipate. Feelings of guilt, shame, and grief become a heavy burden, and many women feel that they will never be free, that no one understands, and that God will never forgive them. Forgiven and Set Free was developed out of the author's own experience of being freed from the bondage of guilt and grief that followed her own abortion. She guides hurting women to bring their emotional scars "out of the dark past into His holy light" where true and lasting healing can take place. The clients who go through this program will delve into Scriptures that offer help with issues such as relief, denial, anger, forgiveness, depression, letting go, and acceptance.

Goals & Strategy
Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal is to save the lives of the unborn, share pregnancy options to those uncertain of their pregnancy direction, to share the beautiful option of adoption, and educate those moms and dads who have decided to parent.
Mission Statement: Acknowledging that every human life begins at conception and is worthy of protection. Care Net Manasota Pregnancy Center offers compassion, hope, and help to anyone considering abortion by presenting them with realistic alternatives and Christ-centered support.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our strategy is to offer these programs within our center free of charge to any client that is coming seeking compassion, hope and help. We reach out to our local community through donor-ship, church support and business partnership to help us afford the expenses needed to make all this happen.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
There is a strong team built into the staff to reach new donors and retain our current donor list. We also have a proactive Board of Directors and Advisory Counsel that helps to promote our mission and vision to their sphere of influencers. Three fundraising events take place during the year to add to the revenue needed for the center, and grants are sought out and submitted to help with material needs within the center for our clients.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have accomplished many new client needs that has allowed us to upgrade our educational materials and videos, and even allowed us to offer some online and phone call courses. In addition, we have applied for and received eight grants to begin the initiative for our 2020 goals.
We have also applied for an STD/STI grant that will allow Care Net Manasota to offer free testing to the women in our community.
