Family Retreat
Deliver the Dream (DTD), Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides therapeutic programs to families facing a serious illness, crisis or disability. Founded in 1997, Deliver the Dream has served more than 12,500 family members and supported a variety of populations including autism spectrum disorders, adult and childhood cancers, death of a loved one, Down syndrome, epilepsy, LGTBQ youth and teens, Multiple Sclerosis and Veterans in the Southeast United States. Deliver the Dream’s programs continue to restore hope, strengthen relationships, and change perspectives to provide inspiration for the future.
The most popular and longest-running program to Deliver the Dream, our family retreats provide structured, therapeutic and family-centered activities that inspire hope, strengthen relationships and change perspectives for families living with similar circumstances. Families are referred by a network of healthcare organizations, but self-referrals are welcome. Each
HOPE at home
Our virtual programs offer families a unique experience were they can express themselves creatively through a variety of sensory modalities. An extensive toolkit is mailed to participants as all projects are hands-on. These activities promote self-reflection, insight and togetherness.
Family Fun Days
Deliver the Dream’s Family Fun Days offer families an opportunity to come together in an enriching environment. Community partners work with our staff to create unique activities that offer an enjoyable and fun-filled experience. Family Fun Days allow families to build their social support network, create new memories and remain connected as a family.
A New View
This interactive, hands-on workshop is designed to change perspectives of how people with disabilities and other life challenges are viewed and included in the community. Participants will explore new insights with activities that help everyone see the world a little differently.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Deliver the Dream is aiming to strengthen our impact, build collaborative relations and invest in systems that increase financial stability, advance our mission and make families stronger.
1. Align programs to maximize impact of our work for the families living with a disability, illness or in crisis
2. Strengthen relationships with community partners, community leaders and funders to advance our mission and increase sustainability
3. Invest in internal capacity to support the ongoing evolution of the organization
4. Develop the board of directors to further drive impact and support our vision

What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We will accomplish our goals by using creative and effective strategies to improve our position and advance our mission. Some of the ways we will make this happen includes:
* Enhancing internal and external communications to develop brand awareness and increase productivity
* Executing program excellence to increase impact on constituents
* Expand fund development base by building relationships
* Increase Information technology capabilities to be competitive and increase awareness
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Deliver the Dream has the capabilities for meeting these goals with:
* a strong leader with visionary skills
* a proactive board of directors
* a dedicated professional staff
* 20 years experience providing effective and impactful programs
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
To date, Deliver the Dream has:
* Secured new funding sources including AAA Foundation and the Dan Marino Foundation
* Developed new partnerships with Nicklaus Children's Hospital, City of Coral Gables and Girl Scouts
* Purchases a new CRM software system and trained staff on same
* Developed and implemented a Marketing Plan
* Reviewed and enhanced programs to ensure greatest impact to constituents
Next steps include:
* build strategic partnerships with organizations that can advance our mission
* provide opportunities for board members to be engaged and increase impact
* continually review and monitor programs to ensure program excellence
* review goals and strategies quarterly to monitor and adjust steps to ensure organizational progress
