What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Food Drives
We serve south and west Texas and southern New Mexico with food for many of the food pantries that screen and distribute to the poor. Hospital/medical equipment program is nationwide.
We provide hospital beds, electric and manual wheelchairs, walkers, bathroom/bathtub fixtures, etc. This equipment is donated to us, picked up, repaired and shipped nationwide by us to local charities that screen and deliver them to the poor in their areas.
We offered free dental services to the poor of west Texas using a mobile dental unit from one of our dentist volunteers who recently died. We hope to build another mobile unit to serve south Texas and expand to other poor areas in the US.
Many of our volunteers work on housing rehabilitation and handicap accessible home rehab in south and west Texas and southern New Mexico. Please visit our website for more information.
Our latest project is supplying new books to libraries and especially to our troops overseas. Books provide an escape from battle stress. Also, libraries are not purchasing anything at this time, much less books, even though they are being overwhelmed with customers and visitors.
Hospital/Medical/Dental Equipment
Providing items such as hospital beds, walkers, electric wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, bathroom/bathtub equipment and accessories, and much more to poor people in desperate need.
The dental equipment is used to build clinics and mobile dental clinics to serve the poorest areas of the US and provide free dental care. The majority of this money will be used to build a mobile dental unit. We have also budgeted in this figure enough to purchase a new 27foot truck to be used to pick up and deliver the equipment. It is our understanding that this figure is what we need and hope to build to.
Housing Rehabilitation
Housing rehabilitation for the poor and handicapped. This figure represents our goal and hopes for the future.
Free books to libraries and troops overseas
We hope to purchase 10,000 new books and donate them to public libraries and our troops overseas. This figure represents what we will need to achieve this goal.
