Mission

As a cat sanctuary, we’re a devoted refuge where cats with severe medical, emotional, and/or behavioral problems can spend their remaining days with love, understanding, and without the threat of euthanasia. These types of cats are vastly overlooked by other rescues and shelters, meaning they have no where to go and would most likely face certain death in a shelter. As a cat rescue, we spay/neuter, vaccinate, tend to the medical/emotional needs, and provide a safe haven for many homeless, unwanted, abused/neglected, pregnant cats, and orphan kittens until they can be adopted into loving, forever homes. Because we utilize foster homes, we have the luxury of being a no-kill organization where our rescues can stay with us until just the right family is found.

Our programs

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

At any given time, there are approximately 40 cats housed at Stray Central, all in various states of rehabilitation before they are ready for adoption. We are currently not set up to take in dogs but network with other rescues and utilitze foster homes for our canine rescue. But that's going to change that when we move into a new facility that will accommodate both cats and dogs.
