Mission

Hospice El Paso provides comfort, care, hope and choice to patients at the end of life’s journey while guiding their loved ones through the grieving process. Hospice El Paso (HOEP) is the only not-for-profit hospice and the largest safety-net provider of hospice care within our El Paso community. Our organization is committed to providing care for patients who medically qualify for hospice and are no longer seeking aggressive treatment for a terminal illness, regardless of their ability to pay. We are the only pediatric hospice provider in the community.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Additionally, the organization educates the public on the Hospice philosophy of death and dying. Terminally ill patients and their families need specialized medical and psychosocial treatment during the period of the illness and subsequent bereavement period. HOEP provides home health services for terminally ill patients ($2,725,425). One of HOEPs recent accomplishments was implementing an in-house pharmacy in October to better meet the needs of its patients.
