Kelly Davidson Pediatric Cancer Foundation Inc

One of Kelly Davidson’s most important missions was to provide a place for kids to “just be kids.” Kelly’s positive energy and endless enthusiasm for life brought joy to fellow patients, hospital staff and visitors. In dedication to Kelly’s spirit, in 2008 the Kelly Davidson Pediatric Cancer Foundation opened the Kelly’s Team Activity Room at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

The Kelly’s Team Activity Room gives children a break from their treatment in a specially designed play space that is safe for children with compromised immune systems. Filled with positive energy and plenty of toys, the playroom lifts patients’ spirits and improves their quality of life. The playroom also benefits siblings who often have to spend long hours at the hospital. With the help of generous donors, it took just two years to raise the $500,000 needed to build the Kelly’s Team Activity Room. The Kelly Davidson Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s long-term goal is to develop similar playrooms in pediatric hospitals across the country.
