What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We aim to help others move toward a life free from violence and unhealthy relationships.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We provide counseling, support group meetings, case management and legal services for victims and their children. We use evidence or research-based curricula for our prevention programs in the local schools and universities. We also provide a class aimed at rehabilitation for adults who batter. This 24 week course also used an evidence-based curriculum.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Professional staff who have attended extensive training lead all our programs and provide direct services to our clients.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Our surveys indicate that a vast majority of the participants in our programs have an increased knowledge of what constitutes domestic violence, sexual assault and unhealthy relationships and also indicates they know where to access help when needed.
Our focus in the upcoming year is to expand our Male Involvement programs. We are looking at implementing a "Coaching Boys Into Men" program with our local school district.
